Fair day ahead - high of 43, all sun in the morning, partly cloudy in the afternoon, and only a tiny chance of rain this afternoon, so tiny that I'll just say none at all.

The Saturday of the first full week of March is designated as "National Genealogy Day", and that would be today. I started getting into genealogy many years ago after both my parents were gone and I found some papers handwritten by my Great Aunt Elsie, outlining as much of the family tree as she was aware of, which was a bunch, considering she passed in the mid-1950's and was in her mid-90's when she died, and came from a huge family. I even took a continuing-education-type course in it at one of the local colleges. At the time, I found it to be too time-consuming and drifted away from it, but now I think I'll start up again. How else will I fill in the blanks about the great great uncle who was a state representative but got arrested for running naked through his neighbors' yards? (Yes, I actually found an old newspaper clipping giving "bare" bones info on this.....)

Have a goal.......and stay with it.
